Code of Ethics for Real Estate Brokers of the Association of Real Estate Agencies (ARK) of the Czech Republic
Motto: „Whatever you do not want others to do to you, you do not do to them.“
- A real estate agent always acts in a qualified manner, honestly, in accordance with good morals, the statutes of the Association of Real Estate Agencies of the Czech Republic and the applicable legal norms of the Czech Republic.
- The real estate agent will not harm the legitimate interests and rights of the client by his/her actions. He shall not discriminate between his clients on the grounds of race, religion, nationality, politics or similar.
- A real estate agent chooses such methods of conduct so as not to abuse his position to the detriment of his client.
- A real estate agent may not disclose confidential information (normally unavailable) provided by the client without the client's consent, even after the termination of the cooperation.
- The real estate agent is obliged to maintain confidentiality towards third parties about business cases, even after their termination. The real estate broker may be exempted from the obligation of confidentiality based on this Code of Ethics by the Association's body for the purposes of proceedings initiated before this body in accordance with the statutes of the Association of Real Estate Agencies of the Czech Republic.
- The real estate agent cooperates with other real estate agents if it is in the interest of the client. In such cooperation, the real estate agent does not intentionally harm the real estate broker, and respects the principles of good cooperation, courtesy and collegiality.
- A real estate broker does not make commercial offers for his/her own or his/her family members (close persons) or his/her own company unless he/she informs the client of this fact.
- A real estate agent always acts for the benefit of the company he or she represents.
- A real estate agent always represents his company, the Association of Real Estate Agencies of the Czech Republic and thus his personality.
- A real estate agent is aware of his/her responsibility in the real estate trading process and therefore continuously improves in all areas of real estate activity.
Notice within the meaning of Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection:
The real estate brokerage contract is concluded in accordance with § 39/2020 Coll. of 3.3.2020.
If a dispute arises, the consumer has the right to resolve it out of court. The consumer shall submit a request for out-of-court dispute resolution to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority pursuant to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection.
